Weekend Shopping Trip

Sorry I havent posted in a while! We're in between seasons right now, so its hard to find new ideas!! I will, however share with you what I purchased during my shopping trip this past sunday. I got a new Coach wristelt that I absolutely adore. It was a spur of the moment purchase, and I'm happy I bought it! It's the original print with metallic gold details. My friend bought cute little crown earrings by Juicy Couture. She also got makeup from M.A.C. I would definately reccomend this brand to anyone! Kisses and Hugs!

Preppy with a Twist

The classic "Preppy" look has just been given a new name. "Preppy with a twist" is my version of taking the "preppy" clothes like Bold stripes, cable-knits, vests, and collars and adding them to pieces that you wouldn't normally choose to go together. This creates a balance in the outfit, and makes a personal style statement because everyones version is different! One word. CHIC.

Theres just something about this vest that caught my attention. Maybe it's the fact that the rough, boyish vest was paired with a girly blouse. It seems like a vest worn when horseback riding. Anyway, opposites attract in this situation. So pair it with a girly piece or jeans and you've got a tres chic ensamble.

I absolutely love this sweater. It reminds me of east coast boarding school chic with a splash of urban. Pair it with jeans for a laid back feel, or toss it on with a corduroy, denim, or wool mini for a girly touch. Either way, you can never go wrong.

At first these big bold stripes might look preppy to you, but look deeper and you'll find that it's just a soft tee that is perfect for layering or to wear alone. What just screamed "prep" to you might now just say "comfortable!"

What WOULD we do without cashmere sweaters? They're so soft to put on in the winter and will warm up the coldest day! Cable knit sweaters are just as wonderful-so why not combine the two? This v-neck cashmere cable-knit sweater does just that.

Try layering different colored polo/collard shirts. This puts a creative spin on the classic collard shirt.

I love these socks! They're so cute. They wouldnt really go with any outfit, but the stripes make them playful and fun. They're also very soft.

All over Nordstrom B.P.

I was browsing on Nordstrom's website and found clothes and shoes that dont really fit into any category together, i just like them! Everything here can be found at Nordstrom.com and be sure to tell me what you think! Enjoy!!! ~xoxo

J'adore flats! These are especially chic.

Charm necklaces are IN right now, so what a better way to wear jewelry than to toss one of these around your neck with a cute top or dress!

This tank is just for fun. It's supposed to be a pajama top, but I would wear it anywhere!

Isn't this shirt interesting? It's sort of a girly look.

Cute dress!

Nordstrom has great merchandise this season! What do you think?

Marc Jacobs

Today I decided to do a post on a designer! I chose Marc Jacobs because I think he is a fantastic designer, and I love his work!! Enjoy!

"With a timely ability to design what the fashion pack want to wear even before they know what to want, Marc Jacobs has become one of the world's hottest and hippest designers. Nicknamed the Guru of Grunge by Women's Wear Daily, Jacobs created a phenomenon in the Nineties when he sent models parading down the catwalk with a Seattle-inspired, rugged mix and match sensibility of army boots and plaid shirts paired with floral dresses and unfinished seams." -Vogue

I LOVE this cropped jacket, very cute!

P is for plum...and also for princess

Many people already know that purple is the official color of royalty, which probably explains fall's latest trend. Plum. That deep purple color with just a hint of red. What a fabulous way to update your wardrobe. Adding little accessories or hints of this raving color here or there will brighten up or outfit, room, or really, anything! I wouldn't reccomend wearing all plum at once, but you already knew that!! Enjoy!!

This is the closest I could get to plum chanel nail polish. The actual color I was looking for wasn't availible on image. Still, this is a great color, and we also know that Chanel is an excellent brand!

I've always been a fan of C&C California! Their tees are so soft, confortable, and perfect for layering! Of course, you dont have to splurge on C&C tees, plum tees can be found in many stores!

school!

I am already a week into school and summer is officially over! Time to put away those flip flops and store that sunscreen with SPF 35 in the back of the cabinet! But thankfully to fall's latest trends, those tweed shorts you HAD to have will go great with leggings and flats! And those dresses and tanks are perfect for layering! Just remember, not too much white after Labor Day! I'll try to post as often as possible, but I've got loads of homework. Still, I promise to have updated blog entries at least every few days! ~xoxo!!!
